Israeli soldiers injure 2 female protesters in Al-Khalil

WEST BANK, 7 Jul 2013 - At least two Palestinian women have been wounded in an attack by Israeli regime forces on a group of demonstrators near the city of Al-Khalil (Hebron) in the occupied West Bank.

The Israeli soldiers also arrested three people in the protest, which was held in Um al-Kheir neighborhood, east of Al-Khalil on Saturday.

The demonstrators were protesting against the regime’s illegal settlement expansion in the West Bank.


Egypt unrest slows down Gaza construction

GAZA CITY, 4 Jul 2013 - Unrest in Egypt has slowed down construction in the Gaza Strip, which relies on building materials smuggled in through cross-border tunnels, a union official said Thursday.

Israel only allows construction material into Gaza through its border for internationally-funded and approved projects, and this is the only building material available in Gaza since the tunnel trade slowed down, said Nabil Abu Meiliq, head of the union of Palestinian contractors.


Israeli army invade Khan Younis

Gaza Strip, 3 Jul 2013  - Several armored Israeli military vehicles invaded, on Tuesday morning [July 2 2013] an area east of Khan Younis city, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Local sources have reported that four armored bulldozers, and a number of vehicles, stationed at the Kissufim, across the border near Al-Qarara town, advanced dozens of meters into Palestinian farmlands.


Army kidnaps two children in Jerusalem

JERUSALEM, 25 Jun 2013 - Israeli soldiers kidnapped on Monday evening two Palestinian children in the Al-Ram town, north of occupied East Jerusalem.

Local sources have reported that dozens of soldiers invaded the town, and clashed with local youths who hurled stones at them.

The sources added that the army kidnapped two children identified as Tareq Dweik and Yazan Az-Zaro.

The army claimed that the invasion was carried out after Molotov cocktails were thrown at a military jeep parked near the entrance of the town.

Soldiers then invading the area and fired dozens of concussion grenades, gas bombs and rubber-coated metal bullets.



Settlers assault Israeli activists near Qalqiliya

QALQILIYA, 25 Jun 2013 - Settlers on Tuesday assaulted members of the Yesh Din Israeli human rights organization near Qalqiliya, a local official said.

Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors settler activity in the north of the West Bank, told Ma’an that settlers from Havat Gilad attacked a car for the organization and its passengers.

Yesh Din members were visiting the village of Farata to see the suffering of Palestinians there, Daghlas said.

Palestinians managed to move the settlers away, but one activist was injured and taken to an Israeli hospital.
