Bombs and arrests in Palestinian refugee camps in Syria

DAMASCUS, 16 Aug 2013 - The humanitarian NGO Action Group for the Palestinians of Syria has reported that Palestinian refugee camps have been bombed. No casualties were reported although Syrian forces arrested three young men from Al-Rimal refugee camp in Lattakia.

Hamas condemns 'terrible massacre' in Egypt

GAZA, 15 Aug 2013 - Hamas on Wednesday condemned Egypt's bloody crackdown on supporters of ousted president Mohammed Morsi as a "terrible massacre."

"Hamas condemns the terrible massacre in Nahda square and at Rabaa al-Adawiyya, and we call for an end to the bloodshed and to excesses against peaceful demonstrators," its spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri told AFP.

Seven Palestinians kidnapped in West Bank

WEST BANK, 15 Aug 2013 - Israeli soldiers invaded various areas in the occupied West Bank, and kidnapped seven Palestinians. Clashes and injuries have been reported in Jenin and the Jenin refugee camp.

The invasions took place during early dawn hours, Thursday, while the invading soldiers fired dozens of flares and concussion grenades.

Local sources in Jenin, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, have reported that dozens of soldiers invaded the city and its refugee camp, broke into and violently searched several homes and kidnapped two Palestinians.

Twenty Palestinians arrested after Eid prayers

WEST BANK, 9 Aug 2013 - The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested Thursday more than twenty Palestinians after their arrival from occupied Jerusalem.

The Israeli soldiers have set up makeshift roadblocks throughout occupied Jerusalem directly after Eid prayers searching for Palestinian youths who spent the last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan in al-Aqsa mosque, eyewitnesses told PIC reporter.

The sources added that the Israeli soldiers stopped all buses heading from occupied Jerusalem to West Bank cities where they checked their identity cards and arrested those who entered the city without permits. The soldiers transferred the detainees to Atarot interrogation center.

‘Israel plans to Judaize al-Quds’

 

WEST BANK, 6 Aug 2013 - The senior member of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO), Ahmed Qurei has warned that the Israeli regime plans to destroy the Islamic and Arab identity of al-Quds.

Qurei, who is a member of the PLO Executive Committee, slammed the Tel Aviv regime’s policies which are aimed at violating and destroying ancient and historical sites in the city.
